The cultural program of the Cyprus Presidency expresses the vision for a stronger, more resilient, socially cohesive and strategically autonomous European Union, highlighting the unifying power of culture and Cyprus’ contribution to European integration as the last divided Member State of the EU.

The main themes of the program are Cyprus’ role as a bridge between the EU, the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Middle East; the promotion of traditional Cypriot heritage as an integral part of the European cultural fabric; the promotion of Cyprus as a pillar of stability and a vehicle for EU values in the region, and the concept of unity through diversity.

Particular emphasis is placed on Cyprus’ relationship with the sea, its timeless historical and cultural identity, environmental awareness, and the connection between past and present through contemporary, interactive, and innovative forms of artistic expression. At the same time, the program serves as a platform for promotion and dialogue for Cypriot artists of different generations.

Through a rich set of activities in Cyprus and abroad, the program aims to offer a multidimensional cultural experience that highlights Cypriot identity while promoting the common values, cultural diversity, and social cohesion of the European Union.
