The event is a multidisciplinary artistic performance combining live music, audiovisual material, and spoken word, presented as part of the cultural programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Drawing inspiration from the history, mythology, and contemporary cultural identity of Cyprus, the performance approaches these themes through a modern, integrated artistic perspective. 

The work explores the island’s enduring relationship with the Eastern Mediterranean and Europe, creating a poetic dialogue between past and present. Original works by contemporary Cypriot composers, together with video and short excerpts from historical and literary sources, are woven into a cohesive artistic narrative that highlights the cultural continuity of Cyprus across centuries. 

The aim of the event is to offer audiences an immersive experience that showcases the creativity of contemporary Cypriot art while strengthening Cyprus’s presence within the wider European cultural landscape.  

The event is carried out within the framework of the Programme “Events at Embassies of the Republic of Cyprus abroad”, in the context of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026.
