The exhibition “Mémoires Numériques” (Digital Memories) is presented in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré district of Paris, a historic and cultural center of the French capital. Sculptures by the artist Theodoulos Gregoriou are installed in front of the Polish church Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption, in the city’s 1st arrondissement, creating a dialogue with a site deeply charged with history, memory, and spirituality.
The Faubourg Saint-Honoré area is an important hub of Parisian economic, business, political, and artistic activity. The district’s numerous galleries and cultural spaces create a dynamic environment for the exchange of ideas and serve as a meeting point for the international art scene.
The exhibition explores the relationship between memory, time, and image through the contemporary artistic practice of Theodoulos Gregoriou. His work combines material and digital elements, creating a visual language in which the past, present, and future coexist. Using cement, natural materials, and technologies such as 3D printing and robotics, the artist reinterprets archaeological objects and cultural symbols, transforming them into contemporary carriers of memory. Through these processes, forms are transformed, generating new aesthetic and structural possibilities.
The works function as layers of time converging in the present, connecting history, materiality, and technology. The production process itself becomes an artistic experience in which machine, matter, and human thought come together to create new images and narratives. In this way, the exhibition highlights the dialogue between art, science, and technology, proposing a poetic approach to contemporary creation.
The exhibition is part of the cultural programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026.
