George Pol. Georghiou – Timeless Cyprus brings to London a powerful body of work by one of Cyprus’s most important modern artists. Presented at The Hellenic Centre as part of the cultural programme of Cyprus’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026, the exhibition explores themes of memory, identity and history through paintings created in the 1940s and 1950s. Featuring works once inaccessible in Famagusta, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to encounter Cyprus through a deeply human and poetic visual language.
