Inspired by Franz Schubert’s musical composition “Death and the Maiden” performed live by the Fusionia string quartet, the work presents, through the body stories, our personal and collective encounter with life and death. The concept of darkness in contrast to the concept of light is depicted as a basic principle of perpetual change, where one state potentially contains the other. The journey of the ceaseless transformation of the forces of life becomes an opportunity to reflect on our relationship with fear and loss, but also the unquenchable attraction of light, faith, hope and solidarity.
